Would like to hear if folks have had success with these sources and/or have better resources to recommend. Any words of wisdom from an entrepreneur who’s gone this route before would be much appreciated.

Recently I had shoped at home depot and 2 weeks later got a charge on my credit card from Synergy Design solutions. I googled it and found several people who indeed shop at home depot and got the same fradulent charge of $ 11.89 on their accounts. But I need more examples as I intend on suing Home depot for letting my personal information out to such a fradulent company. I have had to cancel my credit card and get a new one and also then notify my creditors of the change. This also had the result of overdrawing my account.

If anyone else is a victim of this please post in.

Your client base will always be by referral – so you best start on getting real life people to come to you for design solutions. Try small ads in local papers and see how that works for you – see a graphic designer to help with your 1/16 page ad. If response is good then you can use your ad for telephone book ads, and when you’ve done some projects you can develop a pictorial web-site to showcase your work.

The web address should change at all if you have been assigned a sub-domain name. If it is a paid hosting service, then it will not change for sure. You just need to either overwrite any files of the same name, make any new folder names for the files you plan to use and upload the entire set of files is the same relationship as you made them on your computer so as not to break any paths.
